One of the first logistics questions for a destination wedding is a simple one: how do we get everyone from the airport to Jacó? With a whole wedding party flying in — the couple, the families, the bridal party, out-of-town guests — you want the arrival to be smooth, not a scramble at the rental-car counter. Good news: we run it for you. Here's our private San José airport to Jacó Beach transportation, made for groups.
Comfortable, safe & reliable Toyota Hiace van · up to 8 passengers · $200 · San José International Airport (SJO) to Jacó Beach. Relax — we'll handle the ride. For a full van of 8 that's about $25 a person, and for larger wedding parties we add more vans so everyone travels together.
Fly into San José (SJO), not Liberia
Costa Rica has two main international airports, and for a Jacó wedding the choice is easy. San José — Juan Santamaría (SJO), just outside the capital in Alajuela, is only about 90 minutes from Jacó Beach (roughly 75 miles). The other, Liberia — Daniel Oduber (LIR), sits way up in Guanacaste and is a 3.5-to-4-hour drive from Jacó — too far for your wedding guests. So tell everyone in the group to set their flight destination to SJO. Most major airlines fly there direct from the US, Canada and Europe — and that's exactly where our van picks you up.
What the ride includes
This isn't just a transfer — it's the start of the trip. Our driver turns the 90-minute drive into part of the adventure, with a couple of great stops along the way:
Driver waiting out front of the airport for your group — no hunting for a ride after a long flight.
Stop for a local Tico lunch on the way back — a real Costa Rican casado to kick off the trip.
Stop at the crocodile bridge over the Tárcoles River to see the wild crocodiles — a fun, free photo stop.
Get dropped off right at your jungle villa or resort in Jacó — door to door, luggage and all.

Why it's perfect for a wedding group
A private van beats a pile of rental cars every time for a wedding party. Everyone travels together, arrives together, and no one gets lost on the highway or stuck at a rental counter. The 8-passenger van is ideal for a bridal party or family group, and we simply add vans for bigger numbers so the whole celebration rolls in at once. Your guests step off a travel day relaxed instead of frazzled — and the lunch and crocodile stops mean the fun starts before they even reach the beach.

Tips for a smooth wedding-group arrival
- Aim for daytime landings. Book flights that arrive in the morning or early afternoon so the drive to Jacó happens in daylight — it's a beautiful ride down out of the mountains to the Pacific, and everyone can settle in before dinner.
- Group the arrivals. If guests can land within the same window, one coordinated van gets everyone to the villa together.
- Send us the flight details. Give us your arrival info and group size and we'll have the driver waiting out front — one point of contact, no stress.
- Plan the first meal. After a travel day nobody wants to hunt for dinner — which is where we come in.

We'll handle the ride — and cook the welcome dinner
As your private chef for your Jacó Beach wedding, we do more than cook — we get your whole group from the airport to the villa and have a fresh welcome dinner waiting the night everyone arrives, so your guests step off a travel day straight into a relaxed meal.
