One of the first questions we get is simple: how long should it be? The honest answer depends on your goals, your budget and how far your team is traveling. Here is a realistic look at retreat length so you can plan a corporate retreat in Jaco Beach that is neither rushed nor dragged out.
Three days (a long weekend)
A Friday-to-Sunday format is the most popular and the easiest to approve. It gives you one real working day plus one adventure day without burning much PTO. The trade-off: with a 90-minute transfer each way, arrival and departure days are light, so three days feels tight. Great for a focused reset or a reward weekend.

Four to five days (the sweet spot)
This is what we recommend for most teams. You get a settle-in day, one or two solid working days, a full adventure day, and a relaxed departure — without anyone feeling rushed. It is long enough for real bonding and real work, and short enough to keep costs and time away reasonable.
A full week (for big goals)
For leadership summits, strategy resets or incentive trips that double as a vacation, a full week lets the team breathe. You can split the time between deep work and genuine downtime, add multiple adventures, and give people a true recharge. It costs more, but for the right moment it pays off.
Our rule of thumb
Because of the travel involved, we rarely recommend less than three nights — and four or five is the sweet spot for most groups. Tell us your goals and we’ll suggest the right length and build the day-by-day itinerary to match. Reach us at +506 6079 6435 or the booking form.
