Where the gap opens up
It starts with lodging. Twelve guys in Vegas means about six hotel rooms at roughly $150–$350 a night — plus a mandatory resort fee of $40–$50 per room, per night. Food, drinks and the marquee event
Vegas is engineered to extract. Group dinners run $60–$120 a head, cocktails are $18, and the big night out means a nightclub table at $1,000–$3,000 for a place to stand. In Jacó, a private chef cooks fresh seafood, pig roasts and steak dinners right at your villa — often cheaper per plate than a restaurant — and the marquee event is chartering a whole catamaran or sport-fishing boat for the day.
